Important information about the club status

All IHSC Members,

This notice is to report to the club the status of the 2002/2003 IHSC Elections. In April, we sent out a notice to the club asking for nominations for 2002/2003 IHSC candidate officers. As mentioned in those notices, we were expecting several offices to be vacated and therefore were in search of candidate board members to run for office in order to fill those vacancies. As of the May deadline we had received zero officer nominations. In the past, if there wasn't a nomination for a particular office, the incumbant officer would retain the position. However, since many of the offices were vacated this year, the result was that we don't have enough officers to effectively manage the club.

Given that the club is short-handed and there has been a low amount of participation in the recent past, we have decided not to contract and offer any ski trips for the 2002-2003 season.

There are other ski clubs that you may wish to contact for membership and trips for this season. Some suggestions are:

1. Picadilly Ski Club meets twice/month at HomeRun Inn in Downers Grove
2. Sanctuary Ski Club meets twice/month at Hooters in Downers Grove
3. For additional opportunities and ski clubs, check the CMSC Web Site.

Welcome

The Indian Hill Ski Club provides fun, adventure, friends, and of course skiing! We run approximately ten trips per year. Three trips take you out West to great places such as Aspen and Vail. The remainder take you to prime areas right here in the Midwest like Cascade, Marquette and Boyne.

The club is a great way to meet new people while getting in some excellent snow skiing!

Trips are offered as complete package deals which include transportation, lodging, and lift tickets. Many trips also include on-slope lunches, wine and cheese parties, and other amenities. Optional activities such as snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and group dinners are often organized.

Besides skiing, the club also hosts social events all year round, such as happy hours, picnics and hot tub parties! In the past we've also done roller blading, sky diving, and canoeing!!

The club is open to all adults 21 years of age or older.

Information regarding club activities is circulated via email. Information such as current ski schedule or specific trip particulars can also be found on this web site, or contact any one of the club officers.
